Does Coriolis use the d6 dice pool system that Free League typically uses in their games? The same one found in Vaesen, Alien, Tales From the Loop, etc?

Yes, but like all their games it has slight variations on the core systems.

-Pushing the dice is called Praying to the Icons which generates a meta currency called darkness points for the GM. The GM then uses DP to pay for NPC abilities, trigger environmental hazards/traps, and cause hindrances to the players like gun jams or needing to reload and such.

-health and mental points are you Str + Dex and Wis + Int respectively so you have generally larger pools for health. But Critical injuries can be triggered off the weapons themselves with successes.

-Other tweaks.

If you have played or at least read up on any 2 other Free League games then you should easily see the similarities and variations on your first read through.
