"You can use STEALTH instead of MANIPULATION when performing magic."

The manipulation skill says nothing about having anything to do with magic. The stealth skill already includes things like card games. I don't imagine they mean for Stealth to be used instead of Magic for actual magic?

My first interpretation is that when one is using magic tricks (like stage magic) as a means of manipulation: they can use their stealth skill instead of manipulate. Thoughts?

Yeah, this is one of those errata things. I am curious how they have re-phrased from the beta (they have confirmed it is about staged magic when used to persuade someone. I hope it will be clear, or at least more clear. It can't really be more unclear (well ...).

Yeah... I mean it's literally written as it's meant I think but that somehow make it more unclear? Many people are going to see "peform magic" in a game where magic is a real thing not as a performance but as effecting magic. When they literally mean "perform".

This probably comes more from a want to use commonly used RPG-phrasing when translating. The word in Swedish is a more broad term; Lönndom, which in theory is the same thing as Stealth but it is more closely, I would argue, translated to Secrecy, Trickery or Subterfuge. Especially in this setting
