Official Errata

Mon 20 Apr 2020, 15:27

Below are the official corrections to the first printing of the core ALIEN RPG rulebook. These changes are all implemented in the second printing as well as the latest PDF.

Page 51: The Pilot’s key skills are Piloting, Ranged Combat, and Comtech.
Page 88: To enter/exit a vehicle is a fast action, not slow.
Pages 119–124: The stats in the infographics for the M4A3 Service Pistol, the Armat M41A Pulse Rifle, the M42A Scope Rifle, and the Armat M41AE2 Heavy Pulse Rifle have been corrected to match the weapons tables, which are correct.
Page 192: The Maneuver action has been added to the summary of actions in space combat, and the Evade action has been removed. The full action descriptions on page 193 are correct.
Page 291: In stealth mode, a Xenomorph can move two zones per point of Speed each Turn (not one zone). Humans can move two zones per Turn, i.e. they have a Speed of 1.

The Wright-Aberra 2 Fuel Depot now orbits the star GL1401B.
KOI-2311 M’Toa is changed to KOI-448 M’Toa Colony.
KOI-1871 September is changed to KOI-252 September Outpost.
GL643 - Nimbus is changed to POL-9414 Nimbus.

According to DriveThruRPG it looks like these changes were already present in the PDF since late November last year. Is that right? Or should I look for an update soon?

That's right, all those changes were made in the PDF from November.

I have a few mentions here, firstly there's a Hand Radio item for starting items for some of the careers (Colonial Marshal is one of them), but this item cannot be purchased in the gear section. All I personally could think off was to take the M3 Body Armor, reduce the price to 200 bucks and make that a comms link item in style of the thing Amanda Ripley wears through all of the Alien: Isolation game to radio talk with others. There's actually a bunch of items having a lacking in it's description now that I recheck it all.
So yeah, a total comms-item lack is a bit of an issue for a group that might wish to split, but none of them are able to get into contact with eachother what so ever.

Also, the Colonial Marshal isn't mentions as a suggested Career for any of the three campaign 'settings'. Neither found with Space Truckers, Colonial Marines or Frontier Colonists.

The First Aid description on page 98 says "Certain medical equipment can give bonuses to the roll (see Chapter 5)." That's probably meant to say Chapter 6, which is Gear. Medical equipment is on page 136.

Is there a downloadable errata PDF? I imagine there would be more changes now since we are at the 6th printing.

There are a number of listings for the Sulaco (wikipedia and earlier Aliens game material ... pacecraft)) which specify that the Sulaco is 385 m long. The game lists the Conestoga class as being 731 m long.- is a revision in order or is this a refiguring of the actual length of the ship length? It would also impact the Hull rating.

At this time, is this considered an error or is it a revision (re-figuring what the length should be - based on the relative size of the drop-ship?)

Thank you,
