I'm a new Coriolis GM, running a game over Roll20 and Hangouts for an international group of players. Loving the setting, so much. 

The PCs have put together a ship, sorted modules and all that and I want to knock up some deck plans so that they can really get an idea of what their home looks like. I have campaign Cartographer 3 and the cosmographer add on so i'll be using that, but it occurred to that I have no idea how big the various classes are supposed to be.

We have a picture of the ship that the players have and I've been working on the assumption that a class 3 ship is Serenity (63m) /Raza (about 200m) size, while a class two might be more the size of the Millennium falcon (26m) (Maybe that's a class 3) and a class 4 is about the size of the Original Enterprise (305m). How big do class 5 ships get or start at? What are the biggest ships known in the setting? The Ghazali is listed as being 1152m in length and a class 5. Is this big for the class or typical?

Obviously classes can vary widely and a ship that takes the extra modules feature might be much bigger than a base size vessel of its class, but do these seem reasonable measurements?

I've been considering the very same thing when I started reading up on the rules. Given the deck plans for the premade ships I've made the following guesstimations.

If we try to break things down. With a huge pinch of salt, mind you. Freighters with maximum storage, hangars and salvage modules would be significantly bigger than ships without such voluminous modules. Case in point, most example Class III ships have one or two cargo bays and maybe a hangar. They are about 50 meters in length. But another Class III from the Ghazali adventure is around 125 meters, but that one has seven cargo bays, who of which have been converted to buoyancy pods.

Class 0 - Torpedoes and such. Sized between 0-4 meters.
Class I - Car sized, or small aircraft. I'd say things like small Star Trek shuttlecraft, TIE-fighters and A-wings fit into this category. Measurements between 3 and 12 meters in length.
Class II - Minibus sized or aircraft sized. Medium to large Star Trek shuttlecraft or larger Star Wars fighters, an X-wing would be an example of a Class II and the Millennium Falcon might be a big Class II or a small class III, it's definitely skirting the line. I'd say the Falcon would have trouble landing in a Class IV hangar so that'd probably push it into Class III territory, but It'd be a small Class III at that. Obviously no hangar that would fit a tie fighter which leads me to suspect Class II. Could go either way. At any rate. Measurements between 10-40 meters in size.
Class III - 747 sized. Firefly sized. I'd say measurements between 30-150 meters in length. Scarab, Oryx and Azuk are all about 50 meters. But the Omrik (from Ghazali) is 125 meters.
Class IV - Cruise ship sized. I'd say measurements between 75-750 meters in size. The Kamruk is a class IV at 75 meters, the Orun II (from adventure) is around 300 meters.
Class V - Carrier sized. At least 500 meters. The Ghazali itself is measured at about 1000 meters in length.

Then you also have to take into consideration number of floors/decks. A class I would probably only have one floor. A class II might have a second floor. A class III could have anywhere from 3 to 5 floors.

The rules are pretty soft on this regard and no hard guidelines are given. Although based on prices for each type, and the size scales in the various sources the jump from Class I and Class I is pretty slim, whereas there is a huge jump in size and scale from Class II to Class III. There is another small jump from Class III to Class IV. And again a big jump to Class IV.
