Blessing Talent questions

Sat 19 Nov 2016, 22:36

The text for the Blessing Talent on page 72 reads:
BLESSING
Once per session, you can bless another PC, giving her a +1
to one action. The receiver of the blessing must be within
Close range of you. In combat, imparting the blessing is a
slow action. The GM gets 1 DP per use.
Is this intended to give +1 success on a player's roll (and not a +1 modification)? Otherwise, I don't see the point of the talent when compared to gaining a +1 modification via help from others, since Blessing is one use per session and gives the GM 1 DP. The only possible benefit I can see is that the PC using Blessing wouldn't need at least a level 1 in the skill they were helping another with, but that's pretty negligible.

Sounds like a +1 modification, i.e an extra d6

Right, sounds like. Which seems to be an error. I compared Blessing to the help mechanic above. Once per session and 1DP are a steep price for the talent.

Good point, we'll clarify this one.
