Recovering Agility trauma and Rot

Fri 12 Feb 2016, 15:52

If a PC has lost Agility, they can recover by resting for 4 hours and drinking a ration of water (I think, sorry I do not have the book with me).

Rotwater is commonly available, and will give 1 Rot to the drinker.

So if I drink rotwater as a ration of water, I would gain 1 point of Rot, roll for Rot trauma immediately (possibly losing Strength as a result). I could then rest for 4 hours and eat a ration to regain my Strength and Agility. I would of course at some point gain at least another point of Rot that day from passing through the Zone.

So the downside of this is that I potentially gain a lot more Rot points in a short period of time, i.e. +1/day. Good if you are a Rot-eater, not necessarily so good otherwise.

Yep, seems right. Of course Rot Points accumulate over time, so the more you have the more dangerous it is to get another one... unless you're a Rot-Eater!

Yes I do think it is a risky strategy as you are potentially storing up a lot of Rot points.

Thanks for the confirmation!

"Hey gang... Why don't we just drink that putrid, smelly goop instead of lugging water around? It's everywhere out here!"
