Starting GM on FL, Recovering problems sleep, rest..

Hello,
After long time spent in The One Ring, and a full season (12 episode on The Walking Dead) I recently started reading the Raven Purge + all the background from the gm book, it's the best background I've read since long long time. Now I started reading the rules, with confidence as it should be the same more or less with The Walking Dead. Actually I am confused with this game for many points :
Recovery, in the early 40th pages says go and check P108 or something, who tells you go check the P40 something. Then you dig more and nothing explained, execpt you put a camp you heal everything in one night. Ok you spend a quarter day for a camp so I may understand even if healing everything is too easy. How you can heal lets say 4 point of empthy in one night ? If it was true then no one would suicide from being harassed and bullyied.
The question is : if PC sleep without a camp they must pass a roll check of endurance if i remeber well. But will they restore full points everywhere too ?
The 2nd question is : If PC take a rest, which is not sleeping, it says they recover slowly, but no numbers. What would apply here if I want to stick to official rules ?
My goal here was to play following the rules, i thought there are any rules like travelling, that are important part of the game and the stronghold, etc.. but sometimes it is hard to follow, often you find piece of rules, and then it won't be said again like the "light" features on stuff and weapon, explained at early intro stage, and not at the equipment stage where every features are explained. I find it very confused compared to The walking dead or even Vaesen.
From my side i really hate this easy recovery heal magic system even if you don't recover from critical but i will apply the rule, for sure at the biginning to see if it fits to my style of GMing. If not i already have some ideas like : you may recover only one attribute full, or you may recover 1 point in each attribute if you succeed in rolling survival, and each 6 gives you a recovery point to place on a selected attribute (or one of your key attribute to make the thing difficult).
For resting it is not granted a full recovery, in The Walking dead, you fully recover in one night at your safe haven. And :"A PC or NPC naturally recovers one point of Health each day, as long as they are able to consume one ration of food during that day. A PC that has no food cannot heal." This is clear. I will apply more or less this recovery : if you rest in a day after eating and drinking you recover 1 point, maybe on each attribute but i would prefer on your main attribute only.
But i am afraid my solutions are hard, but realistic, it may be too unbalance, depending on the difficulty of the game, and encounters.
It is not a critique, i mean i have read a ton of different games, the Free league books are very well written, and the style is very good (the Maligarn novel in Raven Purge is really good piece of litterature very inspired and i read it in translated french) the one ring is also confusing, after 3 years of play I am sure i did understand things in a bad way. The walking dead was may be the best rule book, clear and easy to follow.
How did you manage the recovery points in your games ?
