I think "heard" is more common than "hear" for this type of sentence.
- Page 10: "The first resurgence came during Captain Blackbeak's pirate reign, when many freethinkers came to Arkand to begin the fourth age."
- Maybe I misunderstood the previous text, but wasn't the pirate reign the third age?
