I'm forever grateful that Frank Graeff went through the effort to translate and publish the amazing early materials written about the Rimward Reach (by Kosta Kostulas and Nils Karlen). Light Flower Dark Leaf (Part 1 of a planned trilogy) touches on so many wonderful mysteries and interesting plots. I did manage to get ahold of a very rough outline of The Third Captain (Part 2) and run it through a translator app to try and glean a better idea of where Nils and Kosta were headed with their ideas. Unfortunately, I don't know if anyone except for them have ANY of the material regarding Part 3. I can only assume that it contains more about one of the key mysteries of the Reach....the Founders and the Celestial Web.
I'm currently running a mini-campaign of all Nomad characters that have set out on their year-long coming of age trials. I have some ideas of what I'd like to do with both the Founders, the Machinists, Nomadic-Prospector struggles, and the equally intriguing concept of Kodabban Wahina's Gift. But...I keep coming back to being frustrated by not knowing more about what the original authors had planned for the Reach. I find it more interesting than the setting's Mercy of the Icons mega-campaign.
I'm probably not the first person to wish/request this, but if there is ANY way that even rough notes exist beyond what's already been compiled in the three main books (Rimward Reach, Light Flower Dark Leaf, and The Truth about SS 18), and they could be made available, I would be most indebted.
