A TW2K Solo Campaign Story

Tue 22 Oct 2024, 21:43

Hello everyone!

I have been playing a Twilight: 2000 Solo Campaign for a while, and I’ve been keeping track of my characters’ progresses as it unfolds. I like a good story and figured I could get one out of this game. So far, I have not been disappointed.

Inspired by others who have made their campaign reports available on the internet, in September I started a blog and I have been regularly posting the story of my campaign in narrative form.

All dice rolls all reported as inserts, so you can choose whether you prefer to experience the story in narrative form, or with all the mechanics, the behind the scenes, and the dice rolls that contribute to advance the campaign.

If you want to check it out, go to Dice and Ink

Hopefully, you’ll find it worth your time

Thanks Fenhorn
I checked the whole post twice before publishing, but I didn't bother to see if the link was working properly...

A Fantastic read. I've only read the first two entries, but am really looking forward to reading more.

I am especially looking forward to any "referee rulings" or explanations behind PC decisions etc ....

Great work, there's maybe 12 logs already up for those who haven't seen it. Keep it up.

Hey, thanks a lot!

I was really hoping for some feedback; if you could share some thoughts when you've read more, that would be great.

Also, I've just uploaded part 6 of the Battle of Fabryczna 9, which also concludes the fight.

And of course, there's more coming

Thank you!

I've just uploaded part 1 of the Battle of Wanda Chotomska School, which will be resolved in the coming weeks.

As always, there's more coming

My friend, props. I have really enjoyed the story so far. I also love the side bar notes on mechanics and decisions you've made as ref during the game, as well as the mistakes made. Gives me a lot of help with T2K ideas, as well as what 's needed to sucessfuly run a campaign. Maybe even a solo one to get experience. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the story. Very cool. Thanks for this.

Thanks!

As stated in my first post of this thread, I was myself inspired by others in sharing this story; not just in the publishing-it-on-the-internet sense, but in the decision making, encounters managing, npcs creating, the failing forward and the overall campaign management.

I have prepared a few posts linking back to my sources of inspiration, and I’ll upload them every now and then (I’ve posted one so far) so that the focus remains on the story/campaign and I can keep my current posting schedule.

Nice to see that inspiration keeps going around!

This is a great series. Just read part 29 today and wonder if helmets should provide armour to the head for absolutely every shot. In my view, dramatically it would have been better if NASCAR's 3 damage M1911A1 headshot had hit the enemy LEADER in the face and killed him outright, rather than hitting his helmet, especially as pistol rounds increase the the armour value of the helmet by +1. I think if I had been doing that scene I'd have required the enemy LEADER to make a saving roll to see if his helmet took the round rather than his unprotected face. Maybe 4-6 on a D6 for the helmet to take the round.
