Changing Facing when Charging and Sprinting

Thu 25 Jul 2024, 03:16

Okay so this may be just my inexperience with miniature games talking but just wanted to confirm I'm understanding this correctly:

Charge action description (p 7) reads:
"The move can only be horizontal in the model's forward arc (...) and the model can make no turns along the way."

I take it this means it cannot turn just before it starts moving: you can only launch it into your forward arc so you can't for example turn around and charge in a straight line at someone shooting you in the back.
Is this correct or can you turn around and just cannot change facing once you start running?

Sprint description underneath reads:
"model can only move in its forward arc and may not change facing after its move"
In my understanding it means you have to launch your sprint into your forward arc and can change the direction of your Sprint but not your facing.
So you can zig-zag but at the end of your Sprint your facing has to be exactly the same as at the start of your turn.
Is this correct? Or can you change your facing before or even during your Sprint and just cannot change it after you finish the action?

When you sprint, you move in any direction in its front arc. This means that you are facing whatever direction you are sprinting in and when you are done (has sprinted up to long) your model is facing whatever direction he was sprinting in and can't change that.
