Healing and herbs

MERP use to have lots of fun flora for healing and all kind of situations.
I am thinking of doing that with TOR but wondering if I should add + 1-4 on the roll or 1-2d's or a combo.

I think this adds a little flavor to the game.

Your thoughts?

I like the idea, and would probably for ease treat them as a "Useful Item" when using the Healing skill to treat whatever the herb helps with.

I like the idea to have them named and what they are good/bad for so it's interesting for example the scholar or the hunter to go looking for them.

Ruins of the Lost Realm describes athelas like this:

"Player-heroes carrying athelas and rolling HEALING to reduce the severity of the injury of a Wounded individual gain (1d). If the roll is a success, then the hero that is being cured additionally removes 1 point of Shadow. Using athelas on a Player-hero who is not Wounded does not have effects in game terms."
