Novice Sorcerer and corruption

Mon 08 May 2023, 00:00

Need help interpreting some rules.. So, quick question..

As the rules are written now, whenever a novice Sorcerer gets exposed to corruption he can focus and reduce it to one point of corruption only (Sorc novice level) . This is wonderful, but does it include all forms of corruption?
The rules mention no specifics about what form of corruption, or does it? So it means both temporary and permanent corruption, no? And from what source? Only outside sources, or also from skills?
...
Also, the channel skill at master level, does that also mean permanent corruption gained from, say a resurrection from use of a phylactery/rebirth?
Rules as written says it does right?

Must appreciated!

Novice Sorcerer does indeed appear to reduce any type and source of Corruption. So, temporary or permanent, from casting spells or blight beasts or corrupted areas.

As for Channeling, bear in mind you don't need to be a Sorcerer to learn this power. But a Sorcerer with the power will reduce random corruption to 1, from what I can see, for all levels. I'm not familiar with Rebirth, but it looks like Channeling will work with both casting and using Phylcatery, assuming they are on hand for the resurrection.
