That's very true AWSaber ... and very funny, thanks for the sense of humor ahahahah! ... first Hudson says "I'm ready, man. Check it out. I am the ultimate badass. -Yeah. That's right. -State-of-the-badass art. You do not want to f*ck with me." ... and then he says "That's it, man. Game over, man! Game over!" ... our Hudson wasn't always badass up to the end ... ahahah!

P.S. I talked about Wendy in reference to her abilities as Ripley 8 in the first episodes, I think I was not mistaken in the end but they still haven't given any explanations on the subject. But she has xenomorph DNA inside her.

They also really didn't offer any logical explanation as why Wendy has EM superpowers while none of the other childs have. Wendy already had the ability to 'hear' xenos even before humanity's first contact with them, so the "contamination during her fight" theory is also very improbable.

That aside, Wendy is the real monster of the show. Her motivations are inherently selfish & evil. First, she uses her superpowers to deny her brother the transfer he wanted. Then, feeling guilty, she convinces Kavalier to send all (not only her) of the unprepared children to a potential danger zone. The first thing she takes for a rescue mission is a makeshift blade (which makes absolutely no sense unless she had read the script... For what do you want a blade for, psycho?).

Disobeying especific orders, and her contract with prodigy, she reveals her brother its true nature, reopening his psychological wounds and moral distress. After rescuing her brother, she has no problems with her brother's excised lung being used to gestate the very same creature that almost killed them both... Not to mention having absolutely no problems with the biological experiments on the other dangerous creatures. She had full access to the labs, seen what was being cooked there, and was not only happy with it, but eager to participate in the experiments. Again, no problem in nurturing a dangerous/lethal organism.

Also, while she knew some kids were resented about not upholding her contract with prodigy, and having direct contact with her sibling (while the other kids severed all personal connections)... She could not care less. Up to here, she was perfectly fine with all of this... But the moment they deleted last week from Nib's memory, trying to cure/alleviate her obvious psychotic tendencies... Wendy goes full "OMG What have these Monsters done???!!! I'm outta here!!!... For which he releases a lethal organism as a distraction, perfectly knowing it would cause the death of innocent people. Not only that, but she directly controls it to kill, which makes her a de-facto murderer.

She also tried to convince the other kids to leave the island with her, ultimately only the psychotic one agreeing with her. Finally, when the psychotic one brutally kills at cold blood, wendy takes her side, and if not by her brother's intervention, she would have killed (or would have let die) everyone at the docks (she may probably still do it anyways).

In all seriousness, she's one of the most evil characters I've ever seen, portrayed as 'heroine', in the last decades. The real monster.

I just watched it and, as I was expecting, things are kicking off.

Wendy did take a turn... however since the start, she is been portraited (even used) as a big sister helping the other through the transition. And now between Nibbs' memory erasing and Isaac's death and cover up, the rose tinted glass are falling and she's starting to realize her brother is likely right (or accept what she had already figured out). And even though she unnecessarily went full nuclear, she's still a teen trying to protect her younger siblings.

Kirsh, is going full scientific detachment, maybe Special Order 937 is hard coded in every Synth? But at this point, he doesn't seem to care if WY get their hand in it or not.

I think the tonal change wouldn't not have been so jarring if we had 4 more episodes, giving a bit more time to flesh out some of these events.

And, well, that was season one.

I will say that the ending basically set up the reasons why the otherwise open plot loops at the end of season one end up closed by the start of ALIEN.

Open Plot Loops:
* The future of cyborgs ... which explains why we won't see them later in the timeline
* The future of hybrids ... Wendy's closing thoughts which are ample reason why we won't see them later in the timeline
* Each of the xenos (large xeno, small xeno, plant monster, eye monster) which explain why each of them are absent later in the timeline
* The future of prodigy ... which explains why we won't see them later in the timeline

Feeling a bit like Raised by Wolves themes are getting mixed in here for next season if there is one.

Well... That was certainly a finale. I liked the show as a whole, but this was the weakest episode imo.

That's because they are equipped with pulse rifles instead of paper guillotines. Also, their haircuts are not the proper ones to deal with Xenos.

I have seen the finale too... And the last episode was weak for me, as the seven episode.

In this case, It feels that It has been edited in a bad way... For example: the group of soldiers, the Hermit's mates, what are they doing? What are their mission? Since they are walking all the episode from one corridor to another. The same can be said for the rest of characters: in one scene they are in room A, the next one in B, and so on... The building is supposed to be contained but It doesn't feel that at all. It feels messy.

The Wendy's character has been going down with every episode, worse and worse. I suppose the creator wanted to reflect their inner clash, doubts, etc. But I see Wendy volatile rather than doubtful. And if we talk about their (now super)powers... If in the first episodes she can manipulate the net in some ways, now... Well... See by yourselves. And I am surprised how Kavalier didn't know anything about her powers, what?!

There are another minor details that burden the last episode: the Alien can kill a group of soldiers in seconds and all the deaths happen behind the scenes... I can understand that it's not necessary to show all the gore, but the opposite is an abuse.

In essence, trying to avoid as many spoilers as I can, the 8th goes on the same line as the 7th: bland, confusing... And the end leaves me a bitter flavour rather than the interesting sensation from the beginning.

Well... well... well... people don't seem very motivated after listening to the last episode of season 1... I'm looking forward to listening to it sometime this week... has season 2 been confirmed? I don't think I've seen anything on the subject.

Not a big finish, (actually more like a cliffhanger setup), but alright.
All in all a pretty decent show that potentially adds lots and lots and lots to the RPG IP.
Not all of this fits with Gaska's established RPG canon, but whatever.

As far as I can tell, s2 has not yet been green lit. Depends on the viewing numbers, I assume.
