I'm keen on the idea of a 2nd edition. Sounds very positive. On the subject of the new maps though, which I've now seen, I'm afraid I'm not a fan. And I hate saying that because in and of themselves they're very good. I hate to say a curry is bad because I wanted a pie.

But that qualifier stated, I found the old style far more atmospheric, more in keeping with the game and more adult. These maps feel more like something for an FFG boardgame. They're good but they're not what I want. I like the simple blueprint style. Its austerity makes it more purely an aid to play whilst this feels more like an attempt at immersion in and of themselves; and that's my problem with them. Maps like that don't immerse me, they make me feel more like I'm playing a colourful boardgame.

Second editions happen. I am all for an expansion of the rules and don’t think much needs changed at all. I’d really like it if they offered a “Supplements” magazine style paperback that’s just the add ons for say, 15 bucks.

I don’t care for mini’s honestly. Years of experience in D and D has led me to see miniatures as clunky and slow and more meticulous. I don’t think I’ll ever be using them.

Not a hater! Support new ALIEN products all day. Love to be able to pick and choose what I want.

Firstly apologies if this is the wrong thread, but hoping to see if there is more info out there. They announced the Kickstarter months ago, and in a video said it would go live in October. Now being December, is there any update to when the Kickstarter will go live that I may have missed?

It's been moved to Q1 next year if I remember correctly.
