Is it more that armour is a gear dice and the hardened talent is a core dice?
Although I can’t see a reason why you couldn’t do them all together?
Does the Hardened talent just add additional dice to your blight resistance rolls from your armor? We're curious why it reads like a separate roll, or if there are situations where one receives blight damage and cannot apply the talent.
Hi Maganook,Hey, I'm late to the game, but
Chapter 13: Creatures & Adversaries
Every entry has a +0 to +2 next to the title.
What is this for? I thought it may be the size giving modifiers to hit (as per page 223 'Fighting Creatures' "size"), but that states that small creatures may get a -2 penalty to hit.
There are no negative modifiers in the chapter entries and Blight Crawlers (fist sized) get a +2 whereas a Gargantuan gets a +1
Hi again,Hi Mike
This is why I thought it was unclear. It's not size, I've since discovered.
It's the modifier to a player's Logic (Teratology / Botanist) to recall the being/creature/construct and to recall its Containment Protocol
Page 222 Containment Protocol
Size and swarms are listed separately.
IMHO the logic bonus should be listed as Containment Protocol Modifier: +0
That strikes me as really odd. At 2 points per shift of trekking, slogging through thick jungle uses the same supply as sitting in the rover with your feet up reading the latest copy of The Foundry Times; in both cases 2 points per shift its twice the supply you'd expect dangling from a tether in a Delve. If this rule is correct it means the rover is just an empty shell with wheels and a motor--the only oxygen in the vehicle is the canisters the delvers bring with them. Unless I'm missing something...this doesn't seem to make much sense. What is supply usage when in a shuttle or rover? I searched the book, but could not find it.
Hi! It's stated on page 204 in the rules for trekking - it applies both to on foot or in a rover:
SUPPLY
When trekking, the Explorers need supply (page 214). For each shift trekking, the crew must spend two (2) points of supply. Mishaps can trigger additional loss of supply. If the crew is larger than five Explorers, one (1) additional supply point must be spent each shift for each additional Explorer.
We decided not to count supply on a shuttle when landing or in space.
