I've looked at the errata document (https://freeleaguepublishing.com/wp-con ... nd_FAQ.pdf) and it has no additional notes that pertain to your question. Barring further clarification, I think your interpretation is correct; no hope should need to be spent.

Ost-in-Edhil is never brought up in either The Hobbit or The Lord of the Rings except, perhaps, as unidentified ruins on the north bank of the Glanduin, where it and the Hoarwell meet. Eregion (Hollin) does come up in The Fellowship of the Ring and in the appendices, notably in Appendix B, THE TALE ...

Balin's tomb (and his throne) was located in the Chamber of Mazarbul (page 104-106). But, of course, there is no tomb there until the last days of Balin's colony. It's location #12 on the map.

Eregion/Hollin is no longer an elven realm by the start of the Third Age; I think we can rule out anything that specifically focuses on it with the exception of such locations as the ruins of Ost-in-Edhil.

I heard Francesco talk in a recent interview about a suplement that's already written (if I'm not mistaken) about the "elven realms". Could be sourcebook that details Lórien, Lindon and even the Halls of Thranduil. Who knows, maybe even what is left of Edhellond and/or Eregion. Just a sen...
