High quality road map of 1980-1990 Poland?

I'd like a map of Poland that has more detail than the one that shipped with the game. Google maps is nice but it is hard to tell how much Poland has evolved in 30 years. I tried looking but just couldn't find a high quality / high res travel or road map of Poland around the tw2k era. They must exist, dont they? Does anyone happen to have a link to one (or maybe a file you could send)?

No success yet, but I'll manage with current map options.

Best course of action IMO, and the one I've used, is to refer to modern maps and then cross-reference them with the period-accurate topo maps. Lots of new development, including lots of new highways and bridges in Poland since the 90s... stuff that shouldn't be there in canon.

Not quite the same as road maps, but I followed a suggestion from a different user and bought some 1990s era travel / tourist guides for Poland from thriftbooks.com - I was looking for publications as close to the fall of the wall as possible for details on what trajectory Poland had been on under communism.

...and remember folks, it is just a "fantasy" game, not a historically accurate wargame. :)

Another map option from the same site that POUM posted is to use WW2-era maps of Poland: https://maps.lib.utexas.edu/maps/ams/po ... index.html

These clearly don't work in certain circumstances (Nowa Huta doesn't exist yet to the East of Krakow) but if you're looking for rural area maps then these work very well in my experience, particularly if you cut out a section of them to use.

One thing to note about those maps, there are a couple that are misfiled so you need to pay attention to the key on the right-hand side of them - that has the numbers of the adjacent maps and this is correct even though some of the electronic map names/numbers in the file names are incorrect. Hopefully that makes sense.
