Sorry, I wasn't able to find a topic regarding true grit mechanic, so, in case, please link me to the right place :-)

my question is: using true grit let you to push the last roll (so the pushed one, and so on) or the original roll (the first one)?
thanks

On page 44 it states players can only push the roll one time. This talent however, allows the dwarf to be the exception to this rule, and push rolls more than once... and thereby allowing increased successes to pile up.

Let's use the SNEAK skill as an example. Our brave Dwarven PC wants to sneak by some very alert, very dangerous guards... so it will be a difficult sneak attempt. He rolls and only gets 1 success... but decides to push this in hopes of "sneaking better." (You can push this roll because it is more in depth than just a succeed or fail roll). He pushes... rolls appropriate dice... and gets 1 more success, but also a bane (-1 to AGILITY). In total, our daring Dwarf has 2 successes... but he isn't sure if that will allow him to get past these vigilant guards... So, he spends a WP activating True Grit, and pushes again. Rolls appropriate dice... and gets one more success, bringing his total to 3. Let's hope those guards don't SCOUT him... :-)

Is that how others are playing it? Did this answer your question? Hope so... if not, I apologize.

Yes, when you push you always re-roll all the dice, except for Banes and Successes. A dwarf many push his skill rolls (if he is allowed to push in the first place) more than once, each time (above the normal push), paying 1 WP and re-roll all the dice that doesn't show Banes or Successes. Can be really good sometimes, but also a bit dangerous. So use it wisely.

You can basically do it till all the dice are are either successes or banes if you have enough will power.
Can create some pretty cinematic moments, were the dwarf slams himself against the door till both the door and dwarf breaks :)

So, how about Will Power points? Does True Grit also allow for the constant build-up of gaining will power points for every bane?
As an example, the player rolls a bane on the first roll, decides to push and rolls a bane on the first push, uses True Grit and rolls a bane. If the player still has dice to roll, the possibility of more banes being rolled is available. Assuming that the player has enough Ability Points to survive this, the player would expend Will Points for the use of each True Grit roll, but would gain back Will Points, + some, for each bane. Is this correct?

Attribute damage and WP gain for Banes rolled is done when you are done pushing the skill roll.

But, yes, it would very likely "pay for itself" if the die pool is large :)

so what about the other side of this then. A player does the example I presented above, but after a few pushes the player has enough banes to break the character? The player just keeps pushing until there are no dice left to push with because the results of the banes aren't tabulated until the end? And what about weapon damage? The same?

Whether or not a roll can be pushed is entirely up to the GM according to the PHB and most GMs will not allow a push that would break the character (you already rolled enough 1s to break yourself before you pushed). If the Dwarf True Grits until he would break the GM can just call it and have them broken.
