Order to play adventures

Tue 02 Aug 2022, 18:21

Hi,

I recently played 'a dance of dreams' and am looking for the next adventure and it got me thinking:
The players level and get more powerful items and skills, but there is nothing in the adventures about a order to play, difficulty level, or group size.
I am afraid that the adventure will be to hard or to easy. What are your experiences?

I have a group of 3 players.

Greets,
Nadia

I started with The Night Sow and followed that up with The Song of the Falling Star before designing a bunch of scenarios myself for the group.

The Night Sow might be a good follow up to A Dance of Dreams since it suggests more dark secrets related to the Society's past.

The beauty of all adventures is that they are not directly connected and can be played in any order. Each presents different theme and challenge, making unique and memorable experience. Depending how the game is run, each one will be impactful on the overall story of the group. I presented them in the order presented in the books after the one in the core rulebook:
  • The Silver of the Sea
  • The Wicked Secret
  • The Night Sow
  • The Song of the Falling Star
Probably I will do the same with Seasons of Mystery.
