Hey guys I asked this on reddit too but when you push a roll do you include your specialty bonus?

When you push a roll, you simply just re-roll the dice, except 1s and successes, you don't change the number of dice or the type. You are allowed to even re-roll a success dice if that die can score a better result (i.e. two successes), but that is risky since you can then miss with it or even get a 1.

OK thank you. I think we are having a major error in the way of thinking about this. How are you supposed to apply the machine gunner specialty to a heavy weapons roll?

Lets says his str is a B and heavy Weapons is also a B rating?

Machine gunner specialty gives +1 to heavy weapons. Thus his str would still be B but his hvy weapons skill would be raised from B to A when firing a machinegun.

Assuming there are no other modifiers. If there are, try to balance the dice instead of only raising one of them.
Assuming no other modifiers apply, he would roll B and A and push as needed.
