Reloads question

Complete noob here, opened my boxed set 2 days ago and going to roll characters tomorrow. Read through most things but for some reason I cannot find what the cost basis is for ammo reloads.

Is it based off of the capacity of the weapon? Assuming it is different for the categories of small arms, etc. But can someone please point me in the direction or pass along the knowledge of the cost is?

Thanks in advance and have been looking forward to playing this game since 1st edition, got side tracked by life and other games and never got around to it. Sigh.

The medium of exchange is the cartridge. So an M16 having a magazine that holds 30 cartridges would have a reload cost of...30 cartridges.

I am not sure if the rules cover the cost of an empty magazine anywhere. Maybe 10% of weapon cost?

We used the same cost as a weapon spare part. Technically you could see it is a spare part and 25 seems ok.

Thank you for the responses, I like the 25 per reload. I know my players and if they figure out they can take the ammo out of their weapon to use as "cash", things will not go well. I am not expecting them to pony up the money for the reload, but it gives me a basis for trade value.

The 25 was for an empty mag. A full mag would be 55. Obviously there's no point in trading bullets for bullets but you could trade something of equivalent value in bullets for bullets and spare (empty) magazines.

Yes, thank your clarifying that. That was what I meant.
