Central Poland Sourcebook - US Unit Locations

Question regarding the US division close to the city: According to the Referee's Manual this should be another unit than the one described in the Central Poland Sourcebook?
The location is given consistently to be near Radom, but another division is shown much closer on the Referee Manual's map (at Piotrków Trybunalski).
Should this division not play a more prominent role in Belchatow?.

Hi there -- first off, thanks for grabbing my module! I should probably state right off the bat that it's not an **official** module. I've tried to keep everything compatible and consistent with what is known about the world from the core books, but I've had to fill in a lot of other details, and I've borrowed a fair amount of stuff (the 11th Border Guards Brigade, for example) from 1e and other sources to flesh out the world.

You're right that I completely ignored the presence of the US 1st Cavalry Division in the sourcebook! The reason is that most of this material came directly from events in my own long-running campaign, and by the time the players reached Belchatow the 1st Cav had already withdrawn out of the area and were never encountered. But in terms of compatibility with the core books, I'd call it simply a mistake! Good catch.

If you wanted to "fix" this mismatch, I'd say that the division is rapidly withdrawing. To escape, the 1st would have to move either west to Wielun, or south towards Czestochowa. In either case they probably fought their way out and took/inflicted further losses. Increase the frequency of straggler encounters and/or the numbers within any given group for a couple of weeks. Leave lots of signs behind of recent heavy combat... derelict vehicles either left where they died or in the process of being recovered, POWs, wounded, a general shortage of ammo and combat supply...

Thank you - this helps!
I'll use this as inspiration, too. Nothing needs fixing, really, I just wanted to get sure I don't miss something entirely.
