Well, I finally finished Bot Amok!
I think it only took 3 days and 1 restart to play through 80% correctly. But, the mechanics are fun. The storylines are really provocative. There's just a lot of fact-checking and cross-referencing — and that's just for the Diary, School, and Rumor cards — never mind all the page-flipping in the rulebook and Summary Sheet.
I'm still a fan — but I would have liked to see the rulebook take a much more robust, authoritative approach to describing possible conditions that could appear in the game—keeping all related information together instead of spread across multiple call-outs, paragraphs, pages, and documents.
