I'm curious if anyone has ideas about what happened in the countries not directly affected by the war, or more importantly how things are now? Countries in e.g. lAsia, Africa, South Amerca...
Do the countries still have a functioning government? Are borders closed or is there travel? Do some well-off countries accept refugees? Do news travel or just rumors?

The Referee books states that the war has affected the whole world, even if not directly. More information would be nice, but nvm.

From what I remember when reading about the Twilight war in 2300AD, Africa and Asia are in the grip of famine and civil unrest while South America has its own war going on between various groups.
