Hi all. Approximately in what year do you set your Vaesen game? I ask because if I wanted to set a mystery in America, a lot of change happens in the 19th century. I've looked for a more specific timeframe in the core book and I've not seen it.

The writers didn't specify to keep it deliberatly vague. I kept it that way as well when playing, in order for the game to feel a bit "storytelling" & folk tale-like. Roughly 1860ies is it in my mind, but things, news, historical events and phenomena from later in the century can show up. Be vague. It is a Mythic version of the world. It fits the game.
