New PCs, new players and Bitter Reach or Raven's Purge

First I must apologize for my english :(.

We're going to start our first Forbidden Lands campaign and like GM I have some doubts.

I have Bitter Reach campaign but I don't have Raven's Purge because it will be published at 2021 in Spain. I'm reading Bitter and I believe that maybe it's very hard to new PCs (I don't have any expierence with FL). Is Raven's Purge softer than Bitter? Is not a bad idea begin with Bitter Reach?

Thank you.

The two campaigns are independent from each other. The players may need to know how to deal with the cold weather in the Bitter Reach and perhaps even make characters that can deal with that. Perhaps start with some short expeditions for the players so they get used to what they can and can't do.

Forbidden lands in general is dangerous and deadly. I don't think Bitter Reach is any more dangerous then Ravens Purge, except that the cold is now a constant concern.

Stat wise, I think Bitter Reach has more powerful NPCs, but I don't think that's it being 'harder'. It's more that, from a power curve perspective, Raven's Purge isn't well written. You have 'experts' and 100's of years old NPCs with no or just a couple of talents. Meanwhile, after 3 or 4 sessions, your pcs will have several. I've been running RP for about 6 months now and I have to adjust almost all of the npcs to use them.
