Can somebody tell me what the "stun effect" does on the elektro grenade and stun baton? They just say you are "stunned for one round" if you fail the stamina check.

This is a little bit of a mess in the rules (the rules are all over the place), but, 'Stunned' means that you loose all your actions for the given period of time (a round in your example).

Thanks!

What about the Flash grenade on pg. 125? Lose a Slow action or all actions?

In that case the rules say that they loose a Slow action. Technically that would mean that they are partially stunned (they still have a fast action).

Are the conestoga weapon slots messed up? It has two size three slots (class R, ship class table, p. 166) and makes no reference to having extra weapon hardpoints (ship upgrades, p. 178),

Even if it did have extra hard points, at most it could have an extra two class III slots,

The long lance missiles, CIWS, 800Mev particle beam, heavy rail gun and nukes are all class III though - that's five items, (offensive armaments & defensive countermeasures, p. 177),

Really small point because I worked it out, but I was briefly confused when I first read it.

On page 103 one of the things that increases stress level is
A Scientist in your team fails to use the Analysis talent
The correct phrase would be 'fails when using'. 'Fails to use' implies stress will be increased if a Scientist has the option to use their Analysis talent but chooses not to.

(I guess I also wasn't sure about interpreting it because of the interesting antagonistic nature of the play here, that essentially a scientist character might choose to stress the other players by not doing this!)

I've been wanting to buy Alien RPG since it came out, but I waited for awhile, and my wife and kids got it for my birthday.

Mine is the second printing, and I went through the google doc, and it seems like most of the items, at least on the first several pages (I haven't gone through the whole document yet), are correct in the second printing.

Is there an errata for the colonial marshal to change manipulation to command as a key skill?

Because the authority talent (lets you substitute command in place of manipulation) is not useful if manipulation is his key skill instead of command because manipulation will always be higher than command. command seems to make far more sense for a marshal anyway.
