German crowd fund campaign adventure sites

Sat 30 Mar 2019, 19:04

For those that don’t already know it seems that there is a campaign for a German version of the game - https://www.gameontabletop.com/crowdfunding-179.html

It seems that some of the stretch goals are additional adventure sites -

Adventure Scene: The Silence
Each supporter of the level Ork and higher receives an approximately ten-page adventure scene from the pen of Michael Masberg (former author for The Black Eye) in PDF format.

A village of dumb dwellers appears as an oasis of peace in a chaotic world - hiding a dark secret from the past. Will the adventurers get the truth out of the speechless villagers?

Adventure Scene: Hydraberg and Griffin Cliff
Each supporter of the level Ork and higher receives an approximately ten-page adventure scene from the pen of Dominic Hladek (author and editor for Space: 1889, The Black Eye, Cthulhu and FATE) in PDF format.

Once upon a time, according to legend, there was a large castle until the stroke of a mighty creature broke it in two, so that today two castles over a river valley face each other. But why are the magicians sitting there hostile to the death and delivering a constant war? How did the steep river valley really come to be? And why are the rocks on which the castles throne, shaped like a hydra and a griffin, which sting and hoist each other?

Adventure Scene: The Gorge of the Dragon
Each supporter of the level Ork and higher receives an approximately ten-page adventure scene from the pen of Stefan Unteregger (author for splinter moon, The Black Eye, Shadowrun and Space: 1889) in PDF format.

An ancient gorge is considered damned since a powerful warrior and dragon once killed each other there. No settlements built nearby exist for a long time, and on some nights eerie cries ring out into the distance. But the water of the spring in the middle of the gorge is considered to be curative - reason enough to go in search of the origin of the curse.

Adventure Scene: The Ancient Forge
Each supporter of the level Ork and higher receives an approximately ten-page adventure scene from the pen of Stefan Küppers (author and editor for Space: 1889, The Black Eye, Cthulhu and splinter moon) in PDF format.

Neramsborga was once a dwarf smithy, legendary for the weapons and artifacts forged here. Brave adventurers got their weapons here, so the Dwarven Place was one of the first to fall victim to Zygofer's attacks. Demons and living darkness devoured the smithy and what was not destroyed hid the dwarves in the depths of their smithy. It still attracts brave adventurers, hoping to find a precious weapon that can help Zygofer and his creatures. But only a few return.

Adventure Scene: The Queen of Crows
Each supporter of the level Ork and higher receives an approximately ten-sided adventure scene from the pen of Tilman Hakenberg (author and editor for splinter moon, the black eye) in PDF format.

Hidden between mountains lies the valley of the Kalliana, in its center a lake as smooth as a mirror. A huge tree rises on its shore, which is covered with crows almost all year round. But at each crescent moon, the crows rise in a great swarm, and horrible shouts are heard - it is said that this is the voice of the cursed Elven Queen Kalliana, who challenges Zygofers and anyone else who hears them to solve the mystery of the valley.

Hopefully these will these be translated into English and Swedish for all to enjoy as they seem awesome?

The last stretchgoal (till now) "The Crow Queen" isn´t funded.yet. But sure it will.

Over the last few days Uhrwerk discussed about releasing the adventure sites in a printed version. With ~10 pages the sites are less voluminous than most english ones. They want to link it to the funding of the last adventure site. But due to releasing only the next and max. two future stretchgoals nobody know when this will come.

I tried to translate the titles a bit more fitting than google:
  • The Crow Queen (Die Königin der Krähen)
  • Forge of the Ancestors (Die Schmiede der Ahnen)
  • Dragon's Gorge (Klamm des Drachen)
  • Mount Hydra & Gryphon's cliff (Hydraberg und Greifenklippe)
  • The Silence (Die Stille)

The Spire of quetzel book is 70 pages, so another 70 page book just with the 7 adventure sites would be a nice addition to a Forbidden Lands library.

It would be a shame if this was a German exclusive as all of the original kickstarter stretch goals will be made available to the general public.

They just released the last coming goals.
As very last (66.000€) they want to expend the tables from "Legends & Adventures" from D6 to D12. That would be great! But I think it will be hard to reach.

Hoping for the best!

- 53.000 € new Adventure Site from Lars Riedel (known from Splittermond)
- 57.000 € new Adventure Site from Mháire Stritter (known from Orkenspalter)
- 61.500 € a stable box for the cards
- 66.000 € expand "Legends & Adventure" tables

It seems all 7 adventure sites were unlocked and an 80 page compilation book will be made available to backers as an add-on.

Although I don't speak German it still might be worth buying a copy of the German version until a translation is made, if it is translated in the future.

Does anyone know when the campaign is due to fulfill?

Yes, exactly 27 minutes before the crowdfunding ended, the last adventure site was reached. And with this also a printed version.

The physical goals should be delivered in october 2018. But this means the boxed sets, the other books, dice, cards and so on might take till november 2018, that depends on the printer. The Uhrwerk Verlag projects are usually in time.

The last goal, that hasn´t been reached was the expansion of tables from "Legends & Adentures" (12 instead of 6 random Childhood and Formative Events).
But I hope to find some people to do the work as a fanmade extension: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zocw7ajz0kt7b ... t.pdf?dl=0

(Hoping it´s okay to copy the layout for this.)

There are no immediate plans, but we have talked about the possibility before. In the end Fria Ligan has to decide if they want to do it - we are completely open for it. :)

But keep in mind that nothing has been written yet, so I don't think there will be a final decision in the near future.
