Yes, good idea to read about the push mechanic in the updates. Need a better picture of how the designer think it should work before I can say anything about it.

While I'd love to buy 3 sets of the official dice, they're far too expensive for me, personally.  I'll be making my own using blank dice, as I've done in MYZ when the official dice went out of stock and I needed more.
Would you mind sharing how you make your dice? I will probably get one set, but I'm also interested in making custom dice. I was thinking about trying to engrave with a dremel and paint them.

Sure, I bought two high quality permanent pens from edding (a black 1mm edding 400 and silver 0.8mm edding 780). Then I simply marked all the blank dice by hand. I didn't buy any black dice, since I couldn't source them in the right size, so I used white dice instead for the gear dice.

Also, because there are 3 colours, I marked them up in a way that it was easy to use them as d66 or d666.

Here are some pics.

9litttlebees,

Thanks for that! I found a seller of blank d6s (yellow, green, and black) so I could make my own dice for MYZ.

They are on their way to me now, but I wasn't sure which markers to use. Now I do!

I'm going to only mark the faces with symbols (Hit, Trauma, and Break), leaving all the other faces blank. This means I can't use them as d6s -- but they will be much easier and quicker to read. (The blank dices are clearly blank, making them the dice you can scoop up and push if you want.) As I already have plenty of d6s to roll if I need them, I think the trade off is worth it.

Whoa! Those fabric markers are really expensive!

Yeah, I know.  They're made in Germany (which is where I live, so maybe a bit cheaper for me) and used in the professional industry (including on the International Space Station), so they're pretty much the crème de la crème when it comes to the permanence of their ink (something I care about with dice).
But yeah, if you don't want to fork out the cash for posh markers, any decent permanent marker with a 1mm nib should work just as well, you may just need to reink them a little more frequently.

They also use Sharpies up on the ISS, maybe they're cheaper for you?  Not sure if they do a 1mm nib black and silver / white marker, though...

Getting "ultra-fine" sharpies in white/silver seems to be impossible (that color and size only come in paint-based markers).

So I'll be getting black fine and silver fine markers (I'm also getting gold and bronze to see which of the metals looks best on black).

I think fine will work. I'm going to use abstract shapes for my symbols:
An asterisk for a Hit; a Square for a Trauma; and a Triangle for a Break.

This way if I hack the system for some other setting or theme I can still use the same dice but for different purposes.

Cool, sounds similar to the FFG Star Wars a little bit. Post pics when you're done, please!
