Hello,

I've got a question about the Planet column. What is the meaning of for example 3G/5AG? 3 Gas Giants and 5 Asteroid belts gas giants? Or 12AG? Or does its mean one sun an 3 planets and one gas giant, the other sun has 5 planets, a as giant and an asteroid belt? Is the gas giant one of the planets, therefore there are 4 planets and one of them a gas giant? And one asteroid belt? I'm a little bit confused, therefore help would be appreciated

The example that you give of 3G/5AG means that...

1.  There is a binary star system.  The values before the slash are for the first star, the ones after the slash are for the second star.
2.  The first star has 3 bodies or interesting objects (planets), one of which is a gas giant.
3.  The second star has 5 bodies or interesting objects (planets), one of which is an asteroid belt and one of which is a gas giant.

Nope, that's the choice of the GM when you create the star system, if necessary. 
For the star systems provided in the game rulebook and the Atlas Compendium, that information is provided.

Ah, that explains it.  I thought that the writing style of your posts reminded me of someone else's!   Now I know.

But this doesn't add up for known systems, as far as I can see.

The stats for Kua are 6AG (on p301).

But we find in the guide to the Kua system on 280-1 that there are seven bodies of interest!

5 planets,
Including Xene the gas giant,
And two asteroid belts (Rimward reach is diagrammed identically to 'The Asteroid Belt', and listed as one of seven points of interest under 'The Planets of Kua').

It's great to have room to invent as a GM, but clearer guidance in the text as to the notation used -- and perhaps a clearer signal as to what planets and systems are already written about and where -- would be really helpful.

I am with Crosbie71 here, I find the inconsistencies confusing.
