GRO J0422+32, a supposedly low-mass (for a black hole) black hole lies in the neighborhood of Perseus so perhaps a future travel destination for characters as well!:) I'm picturing the Portals like the wormhole in "Interstellar"... though perhaps much brighter given their proximity to a star.
