Being Broken by Manipulate

Social Conflicts:
Stunts: Extra 6 on your roll mean you sow fear or doubt in your opponent’s heart. He suffers one point of doubt (page 88) for every additional 6 you roll over and above the first one. If he is broken by doubt, he does what you want without demanding
a return favor (or getting the option to attack you, in the case of Intimidate).
So with lots of Stunts manipulated target is Broken (p. 96), and can do nothing?:) He must recover from being broken first?

If broken by Doubt, you are out of action and need to back down, yes. However, all attempts to Manipulate or Intimidate need to be deemed reasonable by the GM. You cannot simply Manipulate someone who is in an obviously superior position or has no reason whatsoever to do what you want.

So when i manipulate a npc to do something for me, and win with lots of stunts, a npc cant do anything for me because he is broken.

I.E.
PC: Help me Enfrocer! I give you a lot of grub if you defend me (success and stunts: npc is broken!)
NPC: I can do noting. Im broken...

You don't HAVE to use the stunts, you know... ;)

Exactly. That scenario will never happen - you won't break someone unless you want to.

The rule states that an NPC broken by doubt does what you want without demanding a return favor. How is he supposed to do that when he is now broken and what you asked for was an immediate action? Otherwise, how to coax an NPC into immediate action in a charged situation, when there's no time to first go and do what they want?

If you Manipulate someone to do something for you and he breaks and  x starts to cry and say "okey, I do it", either Heal him (takes one round) and in this case is probably a slap in the face and saying "get yourself together and do it" or give him some "lift-me-up" (i.e. booze) to at least temporary get him on his feet.

If you Manipulate someone to sell something more cheaply and he breaks he probably starts to cry and say "okey, here, take it, just leave".

Like Fenhorn says.

Also, breaking someone by doubt is a very aggressive move. You don't do it unless you really want to break someone. If you don't want your opponent broken - don't break him. :) Offer something in return instead.

Also note that breaking someone by doubt on a single roll is really hard - remember, only additional sixes (beyond the first one) will cause doubt. Thus, breaking someone with an average Empathy score of 3 will require four sixes in a single roll.

Oh, and regarding your other question - your return favor (when not breaking the opponent) doesn't necessarily need to be given before the action that you want your opponent to perform. Your opponent might just as well ask you to promise to do it later - it's all up to you whether to accept the deal or refuse it.
