I'm not sure if this is addressed somewhere and I missed it:

Can a character take the Sorcery power multiple times so they can duplicate more than one spell in a scene?
For example: cast "Barrier" on one turn and "Blast" on another turn, while still keeping their Barrier in place?

No, powers can't be selected more than once. However, any effects that have an instantaneous effect with a duration (such as BARRIER) would still be in place after switching to another power with SORCERY.

So, with your BARRIER example, you could use SORCERY to replicate BARRIER on your first turn, and any barrier you made would last a few minutes or until it is breached, and then use SORCERY on a following turn to BLAST.
