The Black Ziggurat - getting to Gamaru?

How are the Explorers supposed to get to the Gamaru system and back (given that their shuttle cant use the slipstream)?
Are going to go along in a greatship that just happens to go in the same direction (and back) or is the travel part just ignored (or handwaved)?
