When it comes to overcoming Challenges. Does each of the PCs roll to overcome it and you count up all the successes? Or do you have one character as the primary roller and other characters are considered "Help" adding a +1 die up to a max of +3? Cause I feel some challenges might be overcome quickly if multiple PCs are rolling and you just tally all the successes.
Just looking for either more clarity or thoughts on how to handle it.
No, challenges are not intended to be overcome with a primary roller and the helping rule - the Challenge rating is reduced by 1 for each success rolled when handling an objective by any / all of the heroes.
This could mean some challenges are overcome quickly with good rolls, especially if the Challenge rating is close to equaling the time limit. As the text says, using a Challenge rating that is three or more times the time limit is going to be tough (and we've seen that ring true during playtesting).
It's also important to note that heroes will often have to engage challenges alongside other enemies or threats, requiring the heroes to divide their attention and make meaningful choices. I'm not sure how to do spoiler text here, so I'll refrain from details, but in the latest session I played of
Metro Mayhem, the heroes didn't overcome two of the challenges because they were more interested in punching the bad guys in the face, dooming the poor innocent souls involved in the challenges to their grisly deaths...
