How did the byara get in?

Hey Coriophiles!
We’re starting The Last Cyclade and I got stuck on a « detail » (the subject line reveals it all!). Negotiating with the Order went good, the team managed to get to the debris around the Azrak 3. They managed to scare the scavengers away (after some internal tension with the two legionnaires - good stuff for later!), and now they are exploring the debris. First two debris, all fine. Third debris (stasis cave) is said to still be pressurized, so they have to connect an airlock to it to enter without venting. But hey, surprise: A byara got in and ate the crew on ice! How did the byara get in if the room had no opening into the vaccuum? I’m no space engineer, but could it open a door then close it back immediately (but the door was melded shut)? At least, this question came from my players and the session stopped there, so I need to figure out something plausible, I guess, for next session. Any cool idea?

Byara are creatures of the Dark (they’re basically Byakhee from the Cthulhu Mythos). As such they’re not necessarily bound by humanity’s standard understanding of reality / space-time and it may have simply ‘phased’ in from somewhere else (Portal space maybe… there’s a reason people go into sleeper pods to jump between systems even though it appears instantaneous…). That’s one of the terrifying things about creatures of the Dark…
