I've been enjoying this edition of Twilight 2000, I'm looking forward to seeing more areas of the world being fleshed out in future supplements - in particular the med, i'd love to see a new version of mediterranean cruise and some official material and maps for the agean and middle east.

But although I'm sure some will say it's silly, the single thing I crave before anything esle is a hardback version of the two boxed set paperbacks combined - am I on my own?

Who knows, perhaps they do that when it is time for a new printing.

I kind of like the soft back rule book for V4.0.

It reminds me of the original player and referee soft back books.

To what purpose would a hardback rulebook serve?

Rulebooks are technical manuals. They exist to be used and abused. Glossy pages are anathema to them as they negate the ability to pencil in notes and change them later. The best rulebooks, those most fit for purpose, are spiral-bound or loose leaf, unvarnished paper, followed by perfect bound. Art books serve a fundamentally different purpose and damn TSR and White Wolf (and LW and MR●H for approving them) for conflating the two in the late '80s and early '90s.
