Errata and Clarifications (1st printing)

There was some changes made in the second printing of the game so for those people that have the first printing here is the errata list of the major changes.
Yes, this is not a new errata it is for the 1st printing (the PDF has of course been updated) but it was never uploaded anywhere so those that have the first printing know was was new in the 2nd printing.

Players' Manual:
  • Page 66: The ammo dice rules have been clarified and slightly modified.
AMMO DICE: Firearms give you ammo dice to add to your skill roll. Six such tan colored D6s are included in this boxed set. You can add as many ammo dice to your attack as you like, from zero up to the rate of fire (RoF) rating of your weapon or the number of rounds left in the magazine minus one, whichever is lower. For example, if you have three rounds left, you can add up to two ammo dice.
If you have only one round left, you cannot add any ammo dice to our roll. In this case, or if you choose to use no ammo dice, only one (1) round of ammunition is used in the attack. This is typically only the case for sniper shots (page 63), but can also be useful if you are very low on ammo or your weapon is in a bad condition (low reliability rating).
  • Page 112: Fragmentation grenades and improvised grenades no longer have a direct damage effect.
These hand grenade types doesn't have direct damage anymore. Meaning you can only target a hex with them. edit: I should mention that the infographic picture of those two hand grenades are still wrong (they show direct damage), but the table is correct.
  • Page 71: When a heavy weapon with an explosive effect is used to fire at a hex (rather than an individual target), only the blast damage is used, not the direct damage.
  • Page 113: HE rounds for vehicle cannons up to 73mm have slightly increased armor penetration.
HE ammo for vehicle cannons up to 73mm have their armor penetration changed from +2 to +1.
Referee's Manual (I add this here since I don't think this is that much of a spoiler):
  • Page 11: Clarifies that the Operation Reset offensive was launched in April 2000.
There was a date on page 11 that say that it started early July and that is wrong, should be April.

I've recently returned to T2k4e and noticed some discrepancies between individual entries and the corresponding summary table in the 1st printing that maybe you could help clear up:

Player's Manual (p. 106, 108): Is the Pist 88 125 or 100?
Player's Manual (p. 107, 108): Is the Kpist m/45 SMG 300 or 350?
Ibid.: Does the Ag 90 weigh 5 or 3?

Thanks in advance.

This isn't errata, just how I do it

I default to the table being authoritative (otherwise, the ITV has no cargo to carry missiles), but 125 is the cost for the police pistol on both its card and the civilian weapons table, so I'd use that value.

The M82 has the same discrepancy in the US weapon section. Table value

When it comes to the Swedish K, I'm not sure it really matters. Choose one and go with it; I'd use table value.

I don't know the correct answer but go with the tables and not the infographics pictures. The changes they did to the grenades was done to the tables but they forgot the infographics. That is what I do (until we got an answer).

Thanks very much -- will do. I agree that it's not a huge deal, just wondered if there was ever an official correction offered.
