Have anyone figured out if there's any hints on the map how the Horizons relate to each other, or otherwise figured out the significance of the fact that Kua is on both maps...

Page 187 of the Core Rules, Chapter 10 under the section Beyond the Sphere and the subsection Rimwards. I didn't play The Third Horizon, but I wonder if some sort of time or dimensional warping effect occurred and the "old space station" is Coriolis Station. That might be entirely bunk conjecture though as my understanding of the relational galactic geography of the Lost Horizon (or really the Coriolis universe in general) is hazy.

It's a far bit off from Kua, but I've been thinking myself since I saw the name Kua that there is some connection between the different horizon that's not just geometry.

I haven't gone through Flowers of Algorab yet; could the station at Ur be the Nadir Coriolis Station Analog?

No, it's not - Flowers gives a location for the Nadir and it's not there.

Just thinking about this some more. The Diaspora Fleet travelled for 12 years and got caught in the Slipstream which accelerated them even more and made a journey back something they couldn't consider. They were in flat space so were travelling slower than light until they got caught in the slipstream. If they were travelling STL, even if they could get up to near light speed, Kua wouldn't be far away (12 light years) until you throw in the curve ball of multiple years in the slipstream.

It's entirely possible that it could be Kua on the map as a result, but they haven't a slipstream route to even consider travelling back. Bear in mind that the portals don't necessarily connect systems nearby each other. Looking at the star arrangements on the map, it doesn't look like the Third Horizon's patterns but I could be wrong, especially as those maps are a chain of portal connections.

Alternatively, they could just have named a star 'Kua' as a memory of home, kind of like many British place names are repeated in former colonies.

Those are well thought out comments. I had not remembered that the different systems in the Third Horizon where connected by portals, so in theory they could be all over the galaxy. Also, as we don't have any indication of why that one system is called "Kua" it might be like you say, remembrance of home and not any belief it *is* home.

I do hope they develop the exploration and travel aspects of this new game.
