So the book lets us know what happened to the Builders in the Charted Sphere. I was wondering if you'll ever release info on what happened to them in the Third Horizon, since there is no sign of Blight there.
not sure why my brain focused on this after reading the new book, but there it is

I have the same question. Assuming that the Builders are the architects of the Portals, and other relics in The Third Horizon....why didn't The Dreamers release The Blight there also? Inquiring minds want to know...

I would imagin that the Builders has already moved on from The Third Horizon, thus no need for the Dreamers to release Blight there.

Because the Builders made the Monoliths to ward off the Dark Between the Stars, I sort of figured that the Dark was an early version of the Blight and that the Lost Horizon was the last redoubt for the Builders before the final collapse.

EDIT: I read the Wake of the Icons more closely and I'm very wrong. The Dark Between the Stars is the Great Dark, the Blight is different. Now I'm even more confused by the functioning portals and lack of Blight in the Third Horizon. For that matter, where are the other Dreaming Gods in the other Horizons?

I just received my copies of TGD and Flowers of Algorab and I was asking myself the exact same question. I came here to check whether or not I was the only one and I am so glad you guys are also thinking about this.

I hope the next supplement will discuss these matters. Also a plausible reason why glyphs were not discovered in the ruins of the third horizon would be cool.

I was also considering that maybe in third horizon, there was another ancient civilisations that has driven the builders away or they eradicated each other.

Or maybe the builders realised that the anger of the dreamers would ruin all of the horizons if the blight spread there as well and that’s why the builders gathered in the lost horizon, maybe in an attempt to fight against the blight without risking to spread the blight to potentially safe other upcoming civilisations.
This would also explain why they would shut down the portals in the lost horizon, replacing them with the slipstream.

However there is no proof to that either.

Quick note: Did you notice what is « The Blight » in the Third Horizon core book? It’s the name given to the Mystic’s disease. I don’t think TGD Blight was conceptualized by the designers when working on TTH.
