Howdy folks,

Just saw an oddity on the Ravenlands map in O26 smack dab in the middle of the Arina Forest. It appears the central peak has been blown off, open, or at least flat. Any idea what this could be or if it is in the lore anywhere? I couldn't find anything in my searches, and even on the map legend there is no volcano listed. I find this odd, especially given Horn's coverage in both the core book and the new Bloodmarch expansion, because Horn also lacks a legend entry.

Also, if anybody has any stories of what they put there, those are valid responses, as I imagine I am not the first to notice this.

Jag har dessvärre inget svar, men ser att hela bergspartiet ifråga lades till på kartan mellan maj och juli 2017 sedan jag lämnat in min kartskiss och den gängse kartan redan ritats i tidig version. Bergen fanns alltså inte med i min ursprungsskiss, vilket inte innebär att de är en anomali. Jag letade lite i gamla mail, men hittade ingen diskussion om dem.

Fritt fram för initiativ med andra ord!

I don't have any answer, but I can see that the whole mountain range was added on the map between May and July 2017 after I handed over my map sketch and the current map in an early version. The mountain didn't exists in the original map sketch, which doesn't mean that they are an anomaly. I locked through some old mails but didn't find any discussion about them.

So it is free to come up with something on your own.

In the meantime I also looked at the inside covers of the Gamemaster's and Player's books and the caldera is much more explicit and clear on those maps. Another curiosity about the Arina forest region is it is entirely occupied by orcs according to the kin displacement map.

In any case it is really cool to know there is a volcano in the Ravenlands either dormant or not. Definitely already thinking about how the Quards or the Galdanes may see it as an aspect of Horn and may make competing expeditions to claim the territory around it in his name.
