Hi!

Please use this thread to post feedback and report any typos or errors in the Mythic Carpathia book for the Vaesen RPG, no later than July 3. Note that page references (page xx) are not completed yet so please ignore these. There will also be some changes in the layout, placements are not final. The PDF files will be updated on DrivethruRPG to the final version later. Before reporting an error, please check to see if it has already been reported. If so, don't report it again.

Thank you for your support!

Hi there - while not specifically errors, a couple of things that would be worth including:
- A suggestion on how to join up with the Society in Prague for people playing an original campaign based in Uppsala
- You put in Vampire Hunter that a dark secret is that they are Dhampir, so there should be some guidance as to how that would work in a PC especially around magic

Page 88 - Exhumation - mentions Sergiu and Florentina Ardelean - should this be Alexandru and Magdalena Weber?

While not technically wrong, it feels misleading to say "Virtually all East Slavs were under the rule of the Tsars of Russia – the Romanovs The Tsar’s subjects included Poles, Ukrainians, Belarusians, Lithuanians, Latvians, and Estonians" (page 5), as Lithuanians, Latvians and Estonians - while they where subjects of the Tsar - are not slavs.
Also just generally, it feels weird to have this be the "Slavic" society when it covers a bunch of things that aren't slavic (Hungarian, Romanian & Jewish all make some appearances here, if I'm not mistaken) - although I'm not expert on the folklore, so they may be similar enough to warrant it (though it doesn't seem like too much to change it to "The Society for the Integration and Adaptation of the Slavic and Carpathian Tradition, Based in Prague" or something to that end)

On page 57 of Mythic Carpathia, the Strigoi has two different Conditions that are both called Wounded.

My comment is in the same vein as the one above, by FlowersOfNemo.

On page 23, the second paragraph of the second chapter there is a passage: The Pravda Society has long been engaged in research and, when necessary, expulsion of vaesen, playing a key role in the lands inhabited mostly by Slavs – from the Urals to the Oder, from Estonia to the south of the Balkans.

This is Finno-Ugric and Baltic erasure, I suggest redoing the sentence completely or changing Estonia to Poland. I do not believe Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania ever had a slavic majority, like the sentence above is implying.

I guess this isn't an error or typo, but feedback:

I'm surprised Vampire Hunter is the only Archetype we see here. in the campaign, it was listed as a "bonus archetype" which implies it's adding on to others in the book. I guess i can see it being a "bonus as in the number of others is 0", but still was a little disappointing.

Just a couple of things that feel a bit off reading it. Feels like there might be a word or so missing:

pg. 49 'The khokha-yarokha comes through the mouse hole at night and picks the tooth.' I feel there should be the word 'up' between 'picks' and 'the'.

pg. 9 I'm not sold 100% on this being a 'fault', I'm not an English language expert. However, in the sentence 'For example, people might throw some food behind to feed local spirits or gnomes, ...' I feel should probably be 'people might leave some food behind...' As 'throwing' it implies you're actively giving/passing over the food to the 'spirits' rather than actively leaving without taking the food with you so that the 'spirits' can feed on it. Though I could be wrong and this is a perfectly acceptable phrasing.

Feedback about the Golem examples of conflicts (p. 46)
-Given how specific the Golem is to the Jewish folklore and tradition, I'm surprise that all "examples of conflicts" can be resolved without any Jewish npc characters (in the first one, the rabbi is already dead; the last one implies that maybe the husband was Jewish but is not explicit). Given how large Jewish communities were in Eastern European cities, it would be more immersive and in line with to tradition if they were more prominent in these examples.
-I'm still reading through the Golem adventure which includes Jewish community more specifically, but given the violent history of Easten Europe I'm surprised that the "Countdown and Catastrophe" (p. 116) does not include (a respectful) explanation or acknowledgment that the Jewish community might be the first to be blamed/destroyed by riots. It just feels weird and slightly inaccurate (like whitewashing history) that everyone would turn on each other, while history shows that minorities were blamed first.
