Starting with Willpower Points

Hey thar fellow wanderers,
Do you (should you) allow new characters to start their careers with a few Willpower points to allow access to their initial Talents and Spells?
If not, do you find that players push a lot of rolls looking for Willpower because attribute damage is easily remedied (resting)?
Many thanks,
Mike

Players can't make skill rolls because they want to, only when the GM say so and they can't push a skill roll if the push doesn't mean anything.
So in my campaign, neither of those things happened of course and when it comes to WP, the PC will get them fast enough anyway if they just go out there and start surviving and exploring. One key thing is that the players should work together when it comes to the travel and survival roll, so everyone participate, not just one PC, if possible.

Thanks for the tips.

I got a house rule that you can get WP by resting and recreation.
Just a good night's rest at a save campsite gives you 1 WP, up to 1 WP maximum. (to prevent the PCs from accumulating a lot, this is only meant to give a base lane)
A good meal and rest in a tavern gives you 1 WP, up to a maximum of 2.
Visiting a temple or brothel, or similar recreational activity gives you 1, up to a maximum of 3.
This is meant to give the PCs a base level of WP to start the adventure with, and to reward visiting centers of civilization.
I'd start a new PC with 1 WP.
