Solo wilderness exploration and encounters via Oracle

1- What Oracle do you use?

2- How do you run your encounters? You go to a new hex and ask the Oracle if there’s an encounter? Encounters seem to be very frequent which is very strange when you sleep during the night inside of a 10km forest Hexagon.

3- How do you handle the discovery of an adventure site/camp/dungeon/castle?

Thanks!

Do you have the Book of Beasts? There is an official solo system there that is very good. It kinda answers your 2nd and 3rd questions. It has a procedure for drawing playing cards each time you enter a hex and based on the card you draw it has three outcomes: the first is to roll one of the GM Book or Book of Beasts encounters as per regular Journey rules (which has a chance of being No Encounter), the second outcome is to roll a General Encounter (which is a set of tables from the Book of Beasts' Solo Chapter that includes a bunch of prompts and small generic encounters with also chances of No Encounter), and the third outcome is that you find a random adventure site (you than roll on the Villages, Castles, Dungeons tables to generate one or pick a premade one). For Camping, it instructs you to roll on that same General Encounters table every time you camp.
