Feels like the place for your post-Apo (if not nuclear)

So how does your play go on? Any significant campaigns?

I run two parallel teams, both playing a homebrew-enhanced version of Into the Dust. One is plaid live, and the other online. Both campaigns are mid-story, with several sessions ahead. There’s a good mix of role-playing, dramatic moments, and some combat.

I like the simplicity of the YZE Light mechanics (a term I coined, but I feel it suits this version). It's very narration-oriented and easily adopted by even inexperienced players.

The only part of the TES mechanics that seems not fully polished is Tension. I notice players sometimes struggle with it, forgetting to build tension. However, I’m there to remind and facilitate.

The campaign is sweet and open, not feeling linear at all. It features lovely locations. One of the encounters, The Stack, has already turned into a major plot point. It feels very contemporary, with real-world parallels.

One of my groups is composed of a classic, robust RPG mix: a strong investigator, a smart scientist, a troubled young adult, a devoted zealot, and a child they picked up along the way. The journey has been intense, with dramatic moments and even indecent events.

The other group is almost epic in their dynamic. The central figure is a red-haired doctor who fled an orphanage to escape her past. When pressed, she sets out on a journey, joined by three children, all with red hair. In the last moments, they pick up a cat, to impersonate a perfect family.

With that being said I feel this world setting has an enormous potential for playing post-apo game, in the range of styles, from Tales-like light tale toward the heavy, dirty and hopeless chronicle. And Light YZE promoted itself into my favorite one-shot mechanics.

So what about you?
