Some advice on multiple attacks

I really need some substantial advice on how to use mighty adversaries. Up until now I have never introduced an adversary with Might 2 or higher. It seems so overwhelming.

A single creature that can make the same number of attacks as its Might score? The player-heroes will be wiped out!

Or am I wrong?

I play with two groups, one with 3 hobbits, quite experienced but still small and not heavily armored. The other group consists of a dwarf (a veritable tank) and a Woodsman.

Usually the adversaries with Might 2+ also have devastating attacks.

I have planned a close encounter with a giant underground snake for the hoobits. I am going to give the player-heroes different advantages like being able to shoot and run for a few rounds, tip over a large statue and win time at narrow passages, but still, I will slaughter them.

Isn’t the ability to make the same number of attacks as its Might score overwhelming?

No,. it's fine, you just have to account for balance. You might have an Orc per character, but only one Troll per two characters (that's not the actual rule, but just gives the idea that you have to change numbers to account for capability.

Generally, it's the more powerful enemies that are Might 2 (or even 3), so just have fewer of them. The reason why they have more attacks is to keep them from getting slaughtered when fighting an entire party or at least multiple characters (as opposed to Orcs or Evil Men who generally only to fight one PH at a time).

Which statblock are you using? We can say if it's likely to slaughter your company or not.
