Has anyone attempted to set limits or real game-able goals to the campaign?

I’ve been pondering setting a limit measured in perhaps game days, adventures, or something else.

With this you might have a victory point system for various accomplishments (like collecting statuette parts, visiting various locations, collecting treasure cards, and so on).

I’ve been mulling something where after every adventure there’s an increasing chance of season change and then after a year the campaign concludes.
