Hunting for some adventures

Tue 20 Feb 2024, 22:57

Hello, everyone.

Recently (I believe it was on Reddit) I came across an incredible Excel spreadsheet someone compiled with most of 1e adventures set in chronological order, as to allow a LM to run most adventures into the framework of The Darkening of Myrkwood. I set out to do so (using 2e rules), and everything is going really fine but in the list I find references to some PDF called the GC PDF, that seems to include the adventures Watch on Dol Guldur, Words of the Wise and The Theft of the Moon.

I have found the Words of the Wise adventure, but it seems to include only the same name adventure, not the others. Any clues as to where can I find them?

Try DriveThruRPG.com or dmsguild.com. Or a general internet search.

There are pdf copies of Theft of the moon kicking around on the internet, but I think as it was written by Jacob Rodgers who is involved on Free League's The One Ring Line (and worked when C7 published it too) there may be some wariness around distributing it widely.

Sorry that I can't provide a copy directly.

It wasn't published officially so you won't find it on drivethrurpg or similar.

Watch on Dol Guldur - unfamiliar with this one, sorry.

Running the 1e adventures with the 2e rules is great, enjoy! :)

'Watch on Dol Guldur' is the narrative backstory (in italics) on the first page of Words of the Wise. I've not seen a version of this expanded into playable format.

I found a Felloswship Task named like that in an unofficial supplement, where you could roll some dice and take some risks to keep watch over DG prior to 2951. It's interesting but not an adventure, certainly.

I've found these two sites with various documents for TOR:

https://www.lacompania.net/lorien/anillounico
https://theonering.miraheze.org/wiki/Do ... Adventures

Hopefully something there that you can use. :)
