Printer-Friendly PC character sheets from Heart of Darkness?

Mon 22 Jan 2024, 01:44

I've done some searching, but I've been unable to find printer-friendly versions of the character sheets for Heart of Darkness. Anybody know of any?

Given the graphic presentation of ALIEN, which is great but toner-destroying, I hope Free League will go out of their way to make printer-friendly stuff available for download, as they did for earlier resources.

I'm using a tool to make a jpeg black and white, it's easy to find.
I have tools for everything, man.
But if Free League decide to put in the download section all characters of their Alien products in a printer-friendly mode, that would be great.

Just looking for this too now, but unable to find it. :(

Edit: I'm also trying to edit the official pregens PDF, but it's password protected for some reason.

If you found a way to edit the pregen sheets I’d appreciate it hugely if you shared this (assuming FL haven’t got an issue with this ofc!). I’d like to tweak some aspects of their backstories to fit in with how earlier cinematics ran with my group :)

I keep seeing folks say they "have a tool" to make the character sheets black-and-white, but that's not the issue. Any simple graphics app (even Acrobat) can print them in B&W. They problem is they need to be "printer-friendly." It's not the same issue; I've had very little luck turning any standard "green and black" ALIEN handout to "printer-friendly."

After all, there's a reason Free League offered them that way for a small number of handouts.

I don't need to print anything with my group of players. But if I wanted to have the character sheets of HEART OF DARKNESS, I would take the blank printer friendly character sheet (of FREE LEAGUE Alien RPG download) and put it in Microsoft Publisher or Acrobat Reader PDF to write on it myself and have (in 15-20 minutes) all the characters of HEART OF DARKNESS.

Yes it would be cool if FREE LEAGUE put the character sheets of all the products in the download section. I would be the first to be very happy about it.

P.S. on the other hand, for the maps with colors (green and black), FREE LEAGUE must release them in the download section for the printer-friendly. It may be possible to put in black and write with PDF writer and print everything (I have not done a test, I do not need it with my game table). Take a jpeg photo of a black and white PDF (print screen tool) if necessary for a better printing (and play with resolution). I throw out ideas.

p.s.2 for color maps, the other idea is to go to STAPLES (or any other local office supply retailer). They have a LARGE FORMAT PRINTING section. I made color prints of the HOPE'S LAST DAY maps that became posters in my house. It costs money but... we like it.
